Yiğit Karpat received his B.S. degree from Dokuz Eylul University (1996) and his M.S. degree from Middle East Technical University (2000), both in Mechanical Engineering. He received his Ph.D from Rutgers University in Industrial Engineering (2007). At Bilkent University, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering, and he holds a joint appointment in Mechanical Engineering. He is actively involved in the Micro System Design and Manufacturing Center at Bilkent University. He is an associate member of the National Nanotechnology Center (UNAM).
