The Inter-state Network and the Curious Distance of Bermuda from the Rest of the World

I am working on a project to map inter-state relations as a social network. As I was learning how to convert dyadic data into network form,  I stumbled upon a fresh piece of evidence that sheds light on the most mysterious phenomenon of all times. It appears Bermuda is really a gate to another world! See for yourself:

Yes! While the rest of the world are interacting with each other, Bermuda and a few of its little friends are eyeing them from afar.  They were eyeing at least, since the data is of 1995.

Now I figured out the out-liers  I am more curious about what has been going on in that horrible Gordion knot. I will let you know once I know.
